Sarwat Gilani Hopes "Churails" Ignites Demand For Much-Needed Change

via https://youtu.be/DYTbScBx9TU Sarwat Gilani's roaring career seems to be on a high since her latest venture, Churails, hit the Indian streaming platform, ZEE5. The actor, who is one of the protagonists of the web series, says after doing the show, her perspective of the word churail has changed, and she now does not mind being called one. The Jawani Phir Nahi Ani star told The Indian Express, "My perspective of the word 'churail' has changed after working on the show. I believe that someone who is labelled a 'churail' is, strong, fearless and opinionated. I don't mind being called a 'churail' anymore." The show is delivering a strong message. The ultimate purpose is to uplift sisterhood and womanhood in society. I hope the show leaves behind a question that leads to much-needed change. The direction we want to take this to, aims at bringing a strong change around us. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. — Churails We can’t make people change their minds and think like us. But we surely can make a story which gives them a lot of insight to the rising issues that women are facing locally and globally. We want people to watch the show and have an opinion then.
